Overview:
The Kitche Prep Cook prepares food to be served to guests at locations throughout the venue.
The Kitchen Prep Cook is responsible for preparing fruits, vegetables, salads and meats to recipe.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $17
Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until Nov 30, 2024.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing hot and cold foods following standard recipes
Responsible for cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware
Responsible for cutting and/or slicing meat
Responsible for washing, peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables to prepare for cooking or serving
Responsible for mixing ingredients for green salads, fruit salads, vegetable salads and pasta salads
Ensures all kitchen equipment is operating properly and reports maintenance needs to the Chef or Sous Chef
Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need
Qualifications:
Ability to operate kitchen equipment to include broiler, steamer, chef knife, convection oven, mixer and slicer
Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
