Overview:
Maintain the Build-A-Bay product line for service bays, parts rooms Industrial, Industrial Education, and GSA. Develop a product manual and configurator with the sales team's latest product information and specifications. Support the sales team by reviewing quotes and drawings before a sales presentation. Maintain current products and develop new products to enhance the BAB offering. Oversee all BAB suppliers and develop new ones.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all BAB team meetings and project hand-off meetings to ensure quality and product accuracy. Support the sales team with quoting and reviewing drawings. Suggest changes that may enhance the offering. Keep product information updated with Snap-on Tool Storage Product Managers and Snap-on Tool Storage engineers. Maintain full knowledge of the full BAB product line.
Work with Snap-on manufacturing (Algona) and 3rd party BAB suppliers to obtain quotes, pricing, and product information. Includes negotiating pricing, submitting supplier quotes, and making independent decisions regarding the company’s acceptance of quotes and terms.
Support the sales team with quoting and reviewing drawings. Suggest changes that may enhance the offering.
Keep current with product information with Snap-on Tool Storage Product Managers and Snap-on Tool Storage engineers.
Maintain quoting tool, product manual, and configurator for field RM’s and the BAB team.
Must be a team member who consults on best practices to help design the Bay. Includes reading blueprints and conducting feasibility analyses given scope and dimensions. Offer recommendations to the field team for better designs.
Review CAD drawings prepared for accuracy for the field RM’s and the BAB team.
If needed, attend client meetings to provide product design and support the field sales team.
Provide quarterly product training for all sales staff.
Provides advice and recommendation to other team members utilizing breadth and depth of experience.
Maintain full knowledge of BAB product line and processes. Offer product suggestions to the Snap-on Tool Storage team and 3rd party suppliers to improve quality, cost, and ease of installation.
Develop new products to add to the BAB product line. Collaborate with field sales for needs. Determine the viability of production and quantities that will be sold, giving the corporation a competitive edge.
Provide product information updates to the sales field and internal BAB team.
Maintain new, discontinued, superseded part numbers and Business Partners in LN
Connect and collaborate with internal customers to define areas of growth. Examples: OEM partners and Industrial.
Prepare a margin analysis of all projects sold.
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley controls all transactions, documentation, and processes.
Provide back-up tracking support for the BAB program specialist for order tracking.
Participate in Snap-on Value Added Creation Process through RCI to improve the customer connection and experience.
Oversee all BAB installers, ensuring their process aligns with Snap-on’s standards. Help evaluate and train new installers. Visit with legacy installers to ensure best practices. Must be able to resolve all installation issues.
Evaluate all warranty issues and verify their validity.
Maintain all pricing and part numbers in Salesforce.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of relevant work experience
Proficiency working with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
Working with AutoCAD or relater software is a plus.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal/external customers as required
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and keep all organized with proper revisions.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication required
Excellent organizational skills required
LN experience is preferred but not required.
Some travel may be required.
