Overview:

Part of the Legal team, you are the driving force behind ensuring that the organization continues to do the right thing. With a strong expertise in law and ethics, you are responsible for researching and guarding the business against legal risks and maintaining a culture of compliance. Your team will develop company policies and represent the company in potential legal proceedings. Your will provide legal advice and ensuring the legality of commercial transactions for the organization.

Responsibilities:

This position will provide support to the Leader, Commercial Legal & Risk and support the American Standard Home Services business, namely in support of walk-in tub installations and bath remodels throughout the United States. A paralegal is needed to manage the day-to-day demands of responding to licensure, registration, regulatory requirements, and claims.

Assists in coordinating with state and local agencies in organizing and presenting appropriate information on applications and renewals

Supports the business in adherence to regulatory standards

Assists in processing and reviewing agreements and claims

Maintains accurate records and other general support, including interacting with customers, vendors, contractors, agencies, and other third parties  

Qualifications:

High school degree, paralegal certification preferred and insurance claims processing or construction regulatory experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to accomplish tasks within agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization

Able to work independently and a be team player to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others (on different locations and cultural background) to identify solutions

Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customers

Excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading skills

Ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities, meet critical deadlines, work within a team, and demonstrate initiative

Ability to work independently under limited supervision

Strong work ethic and accountability

Strong computer skills, including use to work with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Hiring Range:

The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $54,000.00-$90,000.00 annually.

(Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
