Overview:
Position Title: Recuiter
Classification:FLSA Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Reports To: Hirining Manager
Rate of Pay: 26/Hr
Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented Recruiter to join the Human Resources team and participate in the hiring process from beginning to end. The Recruiter will be responsible for attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews. As a Recruiter, you must have thorough knowledge of HR best practices and have innovative ideas. If you have strong communication skills and are confident as a headhunter, we want to meet you. We like working with people who think “outside-the-box” and who finish projects in a timely manner. Ultimately, the Recruiter should be able to manage our full recruitment cycle and ensure we always meet the multi-state company requirements.
Responsibilities:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, media, and internet sites; providing JetStream information, opportunities and benefits.
Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
Evaluate and screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing interviews
Assist in the development of job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements
Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives
Write and publish job postings on career websites, newspapers, and job boards
Utilize an applicant tracking system
Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms
Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates’ skills
Conduct phone, Skype, telephone and/or in-person interviews
Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to managers
Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
Contact new employees and schedule onboarding process
Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
Stay up to date with current recruiting methods and sources
Attend job fairs and careers events
Prepare for and conduct New Hire Orientation as needed
Qualifications:
Competencies
Excellent communication and written skills
Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
Ethical conduct
Team player; lead and guide other employees when necessary
Hands on experience with various selection processes like telephone and/or in-person interviews
Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
Familiarity with social media, especially Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Required Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree in human resources and/or related fields; 3-5 years of human resources experience required or a combination of education and experience
Proven work experience as a Recruiting Coordinator or Recruiter
Airline industry experience is a plus but not required
Bilingual (Fluent English/Spanish) capabilities
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative to those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Able to walk, sit and stand for extended period of time
Safely ascend and descent stairs with and without carrying any weight
Able to safely lift up to 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
