The Shape Mold Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of molding equipment used in the production of various molded parts and products. This role involves setting up and adjusting molds, ensuring the quality and consistency of the output, and performing routine maintenance on machines to prevent downtime. The Shape Mold Technician must be detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of molding processes, material properties, and safety standards. Additionally, they work closely with production teams to meet production goals and continuously improve processes. Wages start at $26.00 an hour!

Key Duties Include:
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a clean, safe work environment.
Set up, install, and adjust molds according to production specifications.
Operate molding machines to produce parts that meet quality and production standards.
Monitor machine operation to ensure proper functioning and quality output.
Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet required specifications.
Make necessary adjustments to molds or machines to correct any production issues.
Document and report any quality issues or deviations from standards.
Perform routine maintenance on molding machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical issues with molds and machines.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for more complex repairs and preventive maintenance.
Identify opportunities to improve mold setup, operation efficiency, and product quality.
Ensure molds and machines are operated in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and quality control teams to meet production goals.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues promptly.
Provide training and guidance to new or less experienced technicians as needed.
Monitor material usage and inventory levels of spare parts.
Track spare parts, break downs, and repairs of molds in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (PEMAC).

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar job/environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and ability.
Must be able to:

Language Skills:
Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.

The Shape Mold Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of molding equipment used in the production of various molded parts and products. This role involves setting up and adjusting molds, ensuring the quality and consistency of the output, and performing routine maintenance on machines to prevent downtime. The Shape Mold Technician must be detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of molding processes, material properties, and safety standards. Additionally, they work closely with production teams to meet production goals and continuously improve processes. Wages start at $26.00 an hour!

Key Duties Include:
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a clean, safe work environment.
Set up, install, and adjust molds according to production specifications.
Operate molding machines to produce parts that meet quality and production standards.
Monitor machine operation to ensure proper functioning and quality output.
Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet required specifications.
Make necessary adjustments to molds or machines to correct any production issues.
Document and report any quality issues or deviations from standards.
Perform routine maintenance on molding machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical issues with molds and machines.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for more complex repairs and preventive maintenance.
Identify opportunities to improve mold setup, operation efficiency, and product quality.
Ensure molds and machines are operated in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and quality control teams to meet production goals.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues promptly.
Provide training and guidance to new or less experienced technicians as needed.
Monitor material usage and inventory levels of spare parts.
Track spare parts, break downs, and repairs of molds in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (PEMAC).

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar job/environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and ability.

Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificate/License: Must have forklift operator license at time of hire/transfer or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire/transfer into job.
