Responsibilities:

Works as part of a small group of highly skilled interdisciplinary team of LIHTC professionals serving 2000 units with an expanding portfolio across New York State.

Concentrates on three critical areas of operations, Staff Training, Tenant Rent systems, and the Marketing needs of the current and expanding portfolio.

Through training, this position will improve the productivity and performance of the organization’s employees.

Assess property development, drive training and development initiatives, create individual and team programs, and will identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees.

Maximize the offering of Yardi and the Aspire platform for staff through understanding of the systems.

Researches, plans, develops and coordinates training programs targeted to audiences from front-line employees through top leaders utilizing a variety of instructional methods.

Serves as the Aspire administrator and helps drive timely completion of onboarding in Property Management and Compliance training.

In conjunction with Accounting, will be responsible for annual rent increases, communicating with NYSHCR the appropriate increase, and corresponds/partners with the IT department to ensure the correct increases are implemented into the software, as well as communicating increases to all appropriate staff.

Monitors income limit releases by HUD, documents the correct limits, and collaborates with the IT and Communications teams.

Responsible for Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plans for new properties, keeping up to date on advertising timelines and deadlines as this is imperative for the opening of new properties.

Keeps a schedule of when marketing plan renewals are due, making sure they are completed in a timely manner.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or requested.

Qualifications:

Minimum of an Associate’s degree

Minimum of 10 years of LIHTC experience

Experience in NYS LIHTC operations and management

Experience facilitating development workshops

Working knowledge of adult learning theory and practical concepts

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

Experience working with learning technology (Learning Management Systems), web-based and online training, in-person training, etc.

Proven collaboration and consultation skills

Excellent ability to communicate with others orally and in writing

Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

High standards of excellence in all areas of professional responsibility

Demonstrated critical thinking skills

Clean NYS driving record as outlined in DePaul’s personnel policy.
