The Medical / Surgical / Trauma ICU DEPARTMENT at Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career.  We are committed to the highest level of patient satisfaction. Serving the critical care adult population each "dedicated" unit consists of 8-beds and offers an exciting challenging opportunity for nurses to care for the very highest acuity patients in a 1:2 or 1:1 nurse to patient ratio. All units report to one Nurse Manager; nurses are hired specifically for each unit yet have an opportunity to cross train.

Position Summary:

Assess patient/family health problems and resources taking a leadership role in the development implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. 

Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. 

Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. 

Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization.

It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. 

The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 

AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

 Preferred:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

One year recent acute care experience.
