Responsibilities:
As our Cath Lab Technician at St. Joseph College Station Hospital, you will perform duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures. In this position you must demonstrate an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing the procedures. Must exhibit a strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, and be able to interpret data gathered during procedures, and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications. Duties include:
Scrubs at tableside
Perform diagnostic and electrophysiological studies
Accurately enters and records pertinent patient data, documents events, and calculates valve areas.
Scrubs at tableside assisting physician with procedure.
Take Scrub Call Independently and assist Physician's in acute MI and Stroke
procedures

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
Education: Associates Degree preferred.
Required Licensure and Certifications
CVT or RT, or the combination of ACLS plus demonstrated proficiency in the performance of scrubbing CCL procedures

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Must be able to take call and return to hospital within 30 minutes to hospital
