FT, 0.9 Monday-Friday, Daytime with one half day

Responsibilities:

As a CMA at Marion Family Medicine, you will work with patients performing, but not limited to the following:

Function as a clinician, educator and resource for patients, both in person and via the patient portal.

Prepare patient for provider visits, which includes history taking, vital sign measurement and medication reconciliation.

Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient’s electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes.

Preauthorize care, procedures and medications with insurance companies.

Coordinate care and testing needs for the patient.

Complete necessary forms for referrals and FMLA.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants or equivalent work experience if NHA* certified.  Current CMA Certification.

High school diploma.

BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.

Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.

Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

A positive and team-oriented attitude.

Ability to assist providers in professional manner.
