Description:

We're seeking an Assistant Manager, Utilization Review, responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of personnel in the Utilization Review Department, including:

Staff schedules to ensure appropriate department coverage, equitable daily staff assignments, and timely completion of assignments.

Provides staff support by overseeing workflows/processes, ensuring job responsibilities and delegated duties are understood.

Assists with staff education and implementing new processes/workflows.

Assists with staff performance evaluations, creating performance competencies and goals, developing guidance and training for improvement, and maintaining employee personal records.

Assists in the hiring process, including development, evaluation and training of new employees as needed.

Will assist with monthly staff quality audits to ensure compliance of Emory Healthcares Utilization Review Plan, regulatory guidelines, and department policies and procedures. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a valid, active unencumbered Registered Nurse license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.

Bachelor's degree in nursing required, but Master's degree in nursing or related healthcare field preferred.

At least 3 years of experience in Utilization Review required.

At least 3 years of healthcare experience required.

Case Management certification (CCM or ACM) preferred.

Leadership experience preferred.

Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead.

Demonstrates leadership abilities.
