Overview:
Certified Medication Aide CMA
Pay: $23.50 - $29.35/ hour DOE
Schedule: Full Time Eve Thursday-Monday 2:30pm-10:30pm

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate that Pacific Retirement Services’ (PRS) Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—are ingrained into all aspects of your role.
Understand the importance of resident rights in healthcare as well as the community as a whole, and advocate for operations, processes, and decisions that are in residents’ best interests.
Communicate any change of condition immediately to licensed nurse team.
Observe universal precautions when providing direct care.
Administer medication to residents in accordance with community policy and procedure and with written physician or nurse practitioner orders.
Document medication administration using appropriate procedures and following changes in dosage, medication additions or discontinuations, changes between routine and PRN, adverse side effects or other significant events.
Review 24hr report, shift change report, and other nursing notes to be informed of changes in residents conditions.
Participate in ongoing education, training, and in-service programs.
Provide personal care assistance to residents as needed.
Encourage residents to participate in social activities and gain understanding of each resident’s interests to provide meaningful activities and interactions.
Provide response assistance for resident calls in the facility or community as a whole.
Contribute information to the level of care assessments as requested.
Report and record all medication errors and near misses through incident reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year’s experience providing care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), preferably in a long-term care environment.
Valid Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) certification by state Board of Nursing.
Current and valid CPR and first aid certification.
Computer skills, including previous experience with clinical software programs.
