Our Telecom Engineer will lead and perform work that is highly complex and varied in nature relating to network/telecom operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations. This individual will develop integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues and be a recognized expert internally and externally, often providing strategic direction, guidance and integration of products and services.
A Day in the Life
Works with Leadership, Networking staff, and field personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Provides technical engineering oversight and support of network/telecommunications environment. Manage direction, schedules, and budgets of engineering projects.
Coordinates telecom related work assignments and schedules for the purpose of minimizing disruption of services and/or inconvenience.
Maintains relationships with customers, vendors and internal teams; provides reports, complete requests for new services, and determines methodology for providing new telecom service.
Repairs/maintains/diagnosis telecommunication systems and equipment, and a variety of other electronic equipment and systems (e.g., Telecommunications systems Cisco CM, public address systems, patches and upgrades etc.).
Monitors assigned servers, systems and applications for the purpose of ensuring continuity of service.
You’ll Come With
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience managing large corporate phone system and adjuncts (e.g., call account, paging, conference bridge, etc.)
Ability to lead projects, provide guidance and mentor junior team members
Experience with Cisco VoIP and Call Manager
Understanding of station and house cabling w/low voltage wiring
Knowledge of Carrier Services
Experience with Microsoft Teams telephony features
Expected to be available for rotational on-call
Limited travel: Should have the ability to travel to various facilities if needed
