Overview:
Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania.
Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty.
The Nurse Aide Training Instructor is primarily responsible for all aspects of the system-wide Nurse Aide Training Program and assists with system-wide training needs, including the learning management system.
Qualifications:
Must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Pennsylvania. Possess a Registered Nurse (RN) degree from an accredited college, university, associate’s degree program, or diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with two years of experience as a RN.
Must have been a Registered Nurse (RN) in a full or part-time status for at least one year in the provision of a long-term care facility service with a minimum experience of 200 hours.
Must have an understanding of State and Federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
Previous staff development or training experience preferred.
Must successfully complete all required Nurse Aide Instructor trainings.
Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
