We’re hiring a temporary Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to our School Engagement team. The temporary assignment will run approximately six months – starting around October 1 through March 31, 2025. We're looking for individuals who can complete the entire duration of the assignment. Work hours are flexible between 7:30am and 5pm.

This is a part-time, temporary position working 29 hours per week with an end date of March 31, 2025. This is a home-based position and location is flexible within the six states of our SW region territory including the states of AR, CO, NM, OK, TX, and WY.

Responsibilities:

Some of the responsibilities will include:

Create customized letters and emails using Microsoft Word Mail Merge features and Luminate.

Update CRM database, Dynamics, with data and activity for donors, participants, and accounts. Prepare reports.

Develop, coordinate, and maintain record keeping and filing systems for area of responsibility.

Making phone calls to support the work of the field staff.

Potential for light graphic design using Canva.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

One year of experience providing basic administrative support.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Word Mail Merge.

Ability to type.

Attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected pay range will be $18 to $23 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
