Responsibilities:

Summary:                 

Transport supplies and materials between plant sites and/or customers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Transport using a semi trailer.

Proper loading and unloading of trucks.

Ensures that trucks are properly maintained.

Driving a forklift and helping to unload and load trucks

Cleaning and basic warehouse maintenance

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent experience.  Must possess a valid CDL.  2-5 years semi-driving experience. Must be able to pass forklift classroom and driving test.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, truck drivers, sales personnel or employees of organization. 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables. 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, speak and listen.  The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and taste or smell.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
