Trainee Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a subcontractor in the Bedford region. You will either be part way through or will have a completed a HNC in Construction or a Degree in Quantity Surveying, (or similar)

The Company

This company is part of a larger group of businesses all specialising in joinery, carpentry and structural timber frames. The part of the group was established nearly 20 years ago and operate across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and North London.

The role will require

* Assisting with project costs

* Agree costs with sub-contractors

* Prepare valuations

* Attend meetings with the main contractor

* Ensure payments are received

* Create and maintain accurate records

* Raise PO numbers

* Ensuring finial account payments are received in accordance with the contract

* Attend monthly commercial meetings

Desired Skills & Qualifications

* Currently in education in Quantity Surveying or similar degree or you will have completed a Degree in Quantity Surveying

* Experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential

Salary & Benefits

* £Neg

* 22 days holiday + bank holidays
