We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our London based Service Desk Team, and play a key role in the delivery of a brilliant service and first class technical support across our growing client base.

Six Degrees is a cloud-led managed service provider. We work as a collaborative technology partner to businesses making a digital transformation. The Service Desk Team is a core team within the business – it’s the first point of contact for our clients, and is heavily involved in the delivery of timely and effective technical solutions.

This role sits at first line level within our team, but this is far from your typical first line role. Our clients have high expectations of first time fixes, so you will need to take ownership of tickets and manage them through to a successful resolution. You will be working across multiple clients, so will gain exposure to different infrastructures and a broad range of technologies. You will need to be ambitious, proactive and able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment. You will also need strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, a solid technical knowledge of core Microsoft products, and the ability to pick things up quickly.

We are looking for people who have proven IT Support experience in a commercial environment. If you have worked for a service provider before then that would be great, as we need people who can think independently, who will tackle a problem logically rather than just following a process. You will need exposure to as much as possible of the following;

* Windows Operating Systems and Servers

* Active Directory

* Exchange

* MS Office

* Ideally, experience with ITIL processes and IT ticketing systems

Equally as important to your technical skills will be your approach to customer service. You will know what excellent customer service looks like and will aim to deliver a brilliant service at all times; taking ownership, going above and beyond, and communicating clearly and effectively. You will need to be positive and proactive, able to work in a fast paced environment, and keen to learn.
