Position: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment within the company's manufacturing facility. You will work closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with equipment installation and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on all mechanical equipment, including but not limited to motors, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery

- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and make necessary repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime

- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operating at optimal levels and to prevent breakdowns

- Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications as needed

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed work orders and inventory of spare parts

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks

- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and production staff to identify and implement process improvements

- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical maintenance is preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

- Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
