Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Salary: 65,000 to 88,000 depending on experience

Location: Streator, IL

Hands on Manufacturing engineer to help standardize and drive improvements in a vertically integrated build to order manufacturing environment.

Process development and modification for NPI and continuous improvement including machining, welding, assembly, test, and packaging.

Create and develop Standard work to support mixed model manufacturing

Lead lean efforts for identified areas

Setup new manufactured parts and adjust existing parts in ERP system for MOQ, Routings, BOMs, and other manufacturing data

Work with Materials Manager to identify the ideal lot sizing, setup type, and potential suppliers.

Work with Production Planner on outplant costs, routings, and lead-times

Consult with production on best practice and available tooling

Follow up and audit routing times to ensure accuracy

Perform time studies for identification of improvement opportunities and to ensure standards.

Assist Quality in developing inspection plans and tracking methods.

Engineering degree required

Six-sigma and lean training strongly preferred

Must be able to work for any US company without sponsorship
