Our client, a dynamic and innovative organization, is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a remote position, but candidates must be US citizens or green card holders residing within the United States.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network infrastructure, a strong background in security, and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex network environments. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security best practices.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

Configure and troubleshoot network hardware and software.

Monitor network performance and identify potential issues.

Implement and maintain network security measures, including intrusion detection and prevention systems.

Develop and document network standards and procedures.

Provide technical support to end-users.

Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies and trends.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in network engineering.

Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, etc.).

Expertise in routing and switching technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).

In-depth knowledge of network security concepts and technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.).

Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience with SD-WAN technologies.

Experience with network virtualization (NSX, VXLAN, etc.).

Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.).

Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
