My client, a leader in the industry, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the timely delivery of goods, maintain data accuracy, and support the purchasing department in various essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management: Ensure timely delivery of goods, meeting the company's performance standards.
Inventory Oversight: Expedite orders to adhere to inventory guidelines, manage high-risk and zero-bin reports to prevent stock shortages.
Data Analysis: Run and analyse reports from the ERP system, responding to data trends and gaps.
Order Management: Monitor daily open order reports, ensure all purchase orders have confirmations, and resolve any issues promptly.
Problem Solving: Investigate supply delays and bring issues to closure, ensuring smooth operations.
Collaboration: Work closely with Managers, Site Leads, Inventory Planners, IT, and Finance to complete supply chain tasks.
KPI Reporting: Support the management and reporting of key performance indicators.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited school.
At least one year of industry experience in a direct or cross-functional role.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service, vendor relations, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookup formulas).
ERP system experience.
One year of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
