Responsibilities:
Peraton is seeking an energetic, seasoned Assistant to the CEO / Chief of Staff who will partner with our executive leadership team to provide day-to-day operational support. This position is located in Reston, VA with the opportunity for a flexible, hybrid work approach.
This individual will be responsible for:
Planning and executing connections and meet ups among dozens of different stakeholders in and outside of Peraton. Determining how to maximize the time we spend together is a fundamental component of this role.
Developing content for strategy, projects, board meetings, and other critical deliverables in a way that conveys information that resonates with its intended audience. This content includes Board presentations and require significant creative thinking and excellent visualization skills.
Supporting facilitation of strategy meetings and leveraging facilitation techniques that empower creative collaboration among executive teams
Assisting in meeting planning and preparation work, i.e., drafting agendas, minutes, and information on meetings
Strong ability to manage calendars, internal and external business meetings, conference calls, etc.
Extensive “first-level” point of contact and people skills, including previous experience working with a broad array of strong personalities, calendar management, travel, and all other forms of communication.
Providing administrative support to the CEO, and the executive team, as needed.
Maintaining frequently changing calendars and coordinate all aspects of confidential executive level appointments, meetings, receptions, town halls, video conferences and live meetings
Securing information from various sources, including highly sensitive and confidential company and employee information
Providing financial report support and preparing expense reports from receipts and schedule
Qualifications:
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience
A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered (eg. 4 additional years for a bachelors)
High level proficiency with full Microsoft suite of products, with a strong focus on PowerPoint and Excel
Strong business acumen or willingness to learn how we run the business
Initiative, “event-planner-like” organization skills
Supreme attention to detail and responsiveness
Strong interpersonal communication skills –listening is really important—as is questioning
Collaborative: Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams
Ability to handle stressful business situations in a rapid changing environment
High level of confidence and protection for confidential files and communications
Ability to juggle multiple priorities flawlessly in a cool, calm, and professional manner
The ability to be flexible, recognizing that you may be managing several conflicting stakeholder needs
