Master Electronics is growing and so is our Cyber Security team. We are looking to add a Cyber Security Analyst to our team based in Phoenix, AZ. This is an onsite position with the potential to be hybrid.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $100,000
What you will do?:
Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents
Analyze security logs and reports to detect and respond to abnormal activities
Utilize security information and event management (SIEM) tools to proactively detect and respond to security incidents
Investigate and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively
Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses in systems
Collaborate with system administrators and IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure timely patching and mitigation of identified vulnerabilities
Perform risk assessments and security audits on systems, applications, and networks
Provide recommendations for improving the organization's overall security posture
Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures
Ensure that security policies are communicated and followed throughout the organization
Conduct training sessions to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices
Promote a culture of security awareness and compliance within the organization
Manage and configure security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Stay current on emerging threats and technologies to recommend and implement effective security solutions
Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts
Update and create documentation for security procedures and guidelines
Work closely with IT teams, system administrators, and other relevant departments to ensure a cohesive approach to cybersecurity
Participate in cross-functional teams for security-related projects
What you bring to the table!:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is usually required
Industry certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable
Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, including incident response and vulnerability management.
Understanding of cyber security concepts such as cryptography, network security, and security protocols
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with security and compliance regulations, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST
Prior experience in incident response, investigations and risk assessment are highly valued
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java or C++
Effective communication skills for conveying complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders
