The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Benefits Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position. 

Responsibilities:

Manage and expand relationships with clients by delivering comprehensive employee benefits solutions.

This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored benefits programs, and ensure exceptional service throughout the policy lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of employee benefits, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issues.

Assess clients' current benefits programs and recommend enhancements or changes to optimize their offerings and meet their employees’ needs.

Collaborate with clients to design and implement customized benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.

Negotiate with insurance carriers and benefits providers to secure competitive rates and terms for clients. Manage the procurement process and facilitate the selection of vendors.

Ensure all benefit plans comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect client programs.

Provide training and informational sessions for clients and their employees on benefits offerings, enrollment processes, and utilization.

Address and resolve client issues or concerns related to benefits plans, working to find effective solutions and improve client satisfaction.

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, plan details, and other relevant documentation. Prepare and deliver reports on benefits program performance and client satisfaction.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging benefits solutions, and competitive practices to offer innovative solutions to clients.

Work closely with internal teams such as HR, finance, and legal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with company goals.

Qualifications:

5-7 years of account management experience

Health and Benefits license is active

Detail-oriented and organized.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to analyze and understand insurance policies.
