As Manufacturing Regional Site Manager, you will lead the safety, environmental, and operational efforts at our industrial production facility in Burns Harbor, IN, and at our future production facility. You’ll report directly to the VP of Manufacturing and help shape the future of our growing operations.

What You'll Do:   

Safety Leadership: 

Develop and maintain safety programs tailored to the unique challenges of our facilities, including extreme temperatures, molten slag, and mobile equipment.   

Develop and ensure the delivery of safety training to new hires and existing employees, focusing on the unique hazards associated with the processes. 

Conduct safety audits, address hazards, and train employees on safety best practices.   

Manage the hazardous gas monitoring program and train coworkers on its use.   

Serve as the assistant facility safety officer for the MARSEC (Maritime Security) program.   

Participate in monthly safety meetings and collaborate with corporate teams on safety initiatives. 

Environmental Leadership:   

Ensure full compliance with all environmental regulations and reporting for the sites.   

Oversee air and water permit reporting, waste management, and sustainability initiatives. 

Stay ahead of changing regulations and proactively adapt our practices.   

Ensure compliance with ISNet system requirements. 

Operational Oversight:   

Visit the shop floor daily to guide the team on safe and efficient practices.   

Work with management to improve productivity and streamline operations.   

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to enhance performance.   

Who You Are:   

You have 3-5 years or more of experience in a manufacturing safety role.   

You’re skilled in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and managing incident investigations.   

You know OSHA regulations and industry standards inside and out.   

You’re a team player who communicates well and leads by example.   

You’re proficient in Microsoft Office and eager to contribute your skills to the team.   

You have a bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field (preferred). Certifications like CSP, ASP, or OHST are a plus.
