Overview:
The Financial Analyst – Marketing Analysis is responsible for conducting financial analysis of marketing strategies and offering financial support for culinary development.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Marketing and Culinary teams to implement business-building initiatives, including analyzing guest counts, sales, margin, and profitability impacts
Cost and price recipes based on Culinary development and provide feedback to optimize margin and improve guest experience
Evaluate and distribute performance results for menu tests and promotions, including impacts to guest counts, sales, check, margin and menu mix
Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for various Marketing, Culinary and Operations initiatives
Maintain financial forecasts and reconcile against expected results
Leverage systems to perform data validations, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for optimizations
Analyze, identify, and communicate emerging trends and their impact so action is prioritized appropriately
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Experience in an analytical role exemplifying initiative, accuracy, and influence
Excellent analytical skills, strong initiative, and flexibility in analyzing results
Very strong knowledge of Excel. Proven spreadsheet and data retrieval skills
Attention to detail
Solid critical thinking skills
Strong project management skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven ability to work within a strong team environment
Strong communicator with excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Ability to meet aggressive deadlines with accurate and concise analyses
Ability to prioritize effectively to move multiple concurrent projects to completion
Self-starter willing to promote change when necessary
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, and Micro Strategy a plus
