Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Job Role

Fields HR phone calls, answers general questions, monitors HR DL email, sorts and delivers department mail, and orders department office supplies. Manages HR calendars and attends meeting for the purpose of recording items of discussions. Acts as department travel coordinator.

Maintains scanning system and electronic personnel files. Indexes and scans all employee files and documents including confidential health documents. Coordinates with the Employment Specialist to ensure all personnel documents are properly maintained. Maintains current knowledge of proper filing and record retention requirements.

Resets passwords, creates CWS ID's and approves/corrects Employee Self Service portal changes to employee address, phone number, email address and emergency contacts.

Responds to requests/inquiries for personnel information by examining and/or duplicating employee files and provides information to authorized personnel (internal & external).

Gathers and prepares pertinent information for unemployment claims and filings, assists in the preparation of documents for 401k audit and I-9 audit, as directed.

Ensures new hire referral bonuses are paid timely and in accordance to Company policy. Processes Educational Assistance program payments in accordance with Company policy. Process employee service awards and distributes to appropriate department.

Creates, edits and revises job profiles.

Assists with Affirmative Action Plan(s) by copying and distributing the Plan to proper personnel.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Formal Education High School diploma or GED

Experience 1-2 years

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Prior HR experience.

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements change requiring re-training to stay current every 1-2 years.
