About this Role:

Summary

The Data Entry Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate data within various digital databases. This role involves creating and organizing spreadsheets, transferring information from hard copies to digital formats, and updating customer records. The Coordinator ensures data integrity through regular updates and backups, and provides administrative support as needed.

What You'll Do:

Essential Functions

Create and maintain spreadsheets to track critical customer information.

Transfer data from hard copy documents into a digital database.

Update and organize customer information within the database.

Verify and amend outdated data to ensure records are current and accurate.

Operate office equipment, including scanners and printers, to facilitate data entry tasks.

Investigate and retrieve information from files as needed.

Perform regular database backups to protect data security.

Input text-based and numerical data from source documents into databases.

Provide occasional administrative support as required.

Sort and organize hard copy documents following electronic data entry.

Review and rectify data for deficiencies or errors.

Assist with special projects that involve significant data entry.

Offer data entry support across various departments on an ad-hoc basis.

Type data quickly and efficiently.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with routine use of office equipment. The role primarily involves sedentary tasks, with occasional physical activity required for organizing paperwork and operating equipment.

Physical Requirements

The position is mostly sedentary but requires manual dexterity, the ability to stand or walk, and lifting of documents or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.

Position Type/Hours

This is a full-time position with standard working hours typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional overtime may be necessary based on workload.

Travel

No travel is anticipated for this position.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and common office equipment.

Familiarity with database management and spreadsheet software.

Efficient typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and correct errors.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in data entry or administrative support is preferred.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience with database management and spreadsheet software.

Proven track record of handling large volumes of data with accuracy.
