Overview:

Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with excellent benefits and wages ranging from $16 to $22 per hour. Wage determinations will be based on similar experience

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Senior Living Community. This nutrition services schedule includes;

34 hours every 2 weeks

Hours Mon, Wed and Fri 7am-2:30pm

Includes every other weekend & vacation rotation

Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is part of a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care for seniors.  We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital, conveniently located at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

Responsible for cleanliness of some kitchen equipment, small wares, dry storage, coolers and freezers

Responsible for putting food deliveries away.  This includes rotating stock using the first in first out method.

Records food temperatures prior to each meal service.

Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques

Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting

Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and happiness with their meal service

Ability to answer the phone and write down and verbally communicate the requests.

Assists with events as needed

Qualifications:

Must be 16 years of age or older

Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required

Desire to work with seniors

Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff

Prefer some work experience in a customer service setting, but not required
