Primary Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Inbound Manager is responsible for the efficient management of all inbound warehouse functions including budget, warehouse conditions, proper inventory levels, food safety requirements, equipment maintenance and training of warehouse staff. The Warehouse Inbound Manager manages labor efficiency to ensure accurate inventory, receiving, and put away of product, in the most cost effective manner. Also, manages all first shift production and loading activity, contingent plan inventory, quality standards and associate staffing. The Warehouse Inbound Manager develops staff and provides leadership as well as serve as an operational resource expert. 

Candidate with Lean Six Sigma, and WMS Query familiarity is a plus and will be highly considered for the  Manager role.  

Shift: 8:00pm - 5:00aM

Sunday - Thursday 

Essential Functions:

Manage warehouse according to budget.

Responsible for accurate receipt and warehousing of product.

Ensure product is properly entered into the inventory system and slotted efficiently.

Develop future budgets based on customer forecast as well as develop and substantiate capital request to continue and/or improve operations.

Proactive communication to internal contacts regarding warehouse processes which impact customers and transportation.

Maximize warehouse space and ensure efficient product slotting.

Establish and implement operational policies and procedures including but not limited to production, receiving, routing, inventory, and transportation as it relates to the warehouse.

Monitors warehouse expenses and recommends more efficient methods to reduce the overall cost of operations.

Responsible for maintaining high standards related to the physical condition of warehouse and equipment.

Implements new processes to increase efficiency while reducing costs.

Responsible for the development and training Warehouse Supervisors.

Ensures warehouse is in compliance with all state and federal laws. (i.e. OSHA)

Ensures warehouse associate training is occurring timely.

Trouble shoots systems issues, which effect timely delivery and/or receiving of product.

Plans when necessary for daily and weekly production activities.

Ensure all food safety compliance.

Ensure all company sponsored safety programs are administered correctly according to best practice

Recruit key warehouse staff according to business needs

Proactively improve labor relations.

Other duties and special projects as requested.

Must maintain good attendance.

Maintain safe work practices.

Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:

High School Diploma required.

Minimum of three (3) years previous warehouse / logistics management experience.

Proficiency with MS Office and RF (Radio Frequency) systems required.

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Excellent grammar, verbal and writing skills.

Strong management skills to develop and set performance standards for driver and support staff.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
