Job Description

The Steward/Dishwasher is a great first step in your culinary career! We are seeking a diligent and organized individual to fill the role of Steward/Dishwasher. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all culinary kitchen areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding health and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Sweep and mop the entire kitchen, dish areas, restaurant line, and walk-in coolers.

Clean china, silverware, and glassware using dish machine or by hand as necessary.

Wash and clear counters, shelves, and kitchen equipment.

Clean dish area and kitchen mats.

Assist cooks with set-up, breakdown, and maintaining cleanliness.

Monitor trash and recycling levels, disposing of waste as needed.

Wash pots and pans, returning them to their designated places after cleaning; scrub kettles and skillets.

Enhance organization reputation by fulfilling additional requests and seeking opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Ensure compliance with all Health Code guidelines to guarantee safe handling of items consumed by guests.

Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members to accomplish daily tasks.
