The Rallye Motor Company, Long Island's premiere luxury automotive group, has an immediate opportunity for a Tire Technicians and Shop Assistants with Rallye BMW! Seeking reliable and motivated individuals with automotive experience, looking to join a team whose values are based in teamwork and delivering the highest caliber of customer service! Tire Technicians are responsible for performing wheel alignments, and proper mounting and changing of tires.

Tire Technician Responsibilities:

Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health.

Recommend appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires.

Repair punctures and replace faulty valves.

Install new tires.

Balance tires and complete wheel alignment procedures.

Conduct road-side repairs.

Examine vehicles to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to the Service Advisor.

Notify Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised.

Clearly and accurately document all work performed; ensure accurate time stamps for warranty, internal, and customer pay work.

Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate.

Only perform work that is authorized by the customer or by the warranty.

Work and enter third party tire claims through various electronic applications

Shop Assistant Responsibilities:

Examine and test-drive all vehicles to ensure that the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/ perform repairs are completed. Communicate all discrepancies to the Service Manager.

Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate.

Inspecting all work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.

Charge all vehicle batteries.

Move Vehicles in and around the shop.

Assist in towing in all non-running vehicles using shop supplied equipment.

Shop organization including equipment, tools, supplies and parts.

Communicate discrepancies to service advisor/service managers.

Requirements

A clean & valid New York State Driver’s License

Basic mechanical skills, manual dexterity.

Working knowledge of shop equipment

NYS Inspectors license strongly preferred

Experience with Hunter machines.

High volume tire mounting experience.

Professional personal appearance.
