Warehouse Team Leader

£31,500 + shift allowance

Shift work involved: One week of earlies 06:00-14:30hrs / One week of lates 10:30-19:00hrs

Our client is a world leader in logistics that provide flexible and efficient deliveries to and from every country globally, in total compliance with local regulations. They are urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to oversee a small, friendly and supportive team in an environment that can be fast paced at times and different every day.

As a Warehouse Team Leader your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Unloading and loading of trucks and shipping containers.
Booking goods into the warehouse using computers and scanners.
Picking and accurately labelling goods for export.
Picking of goods for domestic delivery.
Using electric Forklift and Reach trucks.
Responsibility for the safety of the team, ensuring they are working accurately and to meet deadlines.
Screening of goods and threat detection by x-ray and hand search.

To be a successful Warehouse Team Leader you must have:

A 5-year checkable work history and a clear DBS check.
Experience of using IT systems.
Strong communication skills and literacy.
Good attention to detail as you will be working with government agencies and in line with strict policies and procedures.
Counterbalance forklift licence, refreshed within the last 2 years would be ideal.
Reach truck licence would be advantageous.
