My Client is a market leading digital signage manufacturer, providing service both domestically and internationally from hardware development and manufacturing to customer back-end services.

Role Purpose:

This role sits within the Manufacturing team reporting directly to the Manufacturing Director. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the quality control systems continually develop in line to meet the needs of its stake holders, inclusive of customer base.

The role will ensure that a knowledge of abilities is developed and retained at each of the core suppliers to ensure their design processes are fully aware of any constraints and will also compile, feedback and work with each supplier to address ongoing quality issues.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

•Developing and implementing quality control Systems and Standards such as ISO9000 and ISO14000

•Directing and coordinating the company’s quality control system

•Ensuring that all products delivered meet the design intent and quality levels required

•Working with the development departments and be a key contributor to the product delivery process, ensuring manufacturing aspects within the supply chain are considered at an early stage and pulling new products through to manufacture

•Working with the design and procurement functions in researching, sourcing, and assessing the best vendors to supply the necessary products

•Visiting vendor facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures

Experience

•An in-depth knowledge base of ISO900 and 14000, including implementation and maintenance of either of both.

•An in-depth knowledge and experience of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Six Sigma is desirable

•A strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD

Qualifications

•Relevant Quality Management, Manufacturing or Engineering related degree is preferred or;

•HND, BTEC Professional Level 5 Qualification, equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualification or; equivalent Electronics Degree
