Premier Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established organisation based in Chatham, Kent to recruit a forward thinking and experienced Operations Manager to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and permanent role with fast internal progression opportunities.
The purpose of this role:
Our client require a full-time Operations Manager to oversee the day to day operation of the 75,000 tonnes per annum material recycling plant.
Operating within regulatory requirements including environmental & health & safety
Deliver effective operating techniques to ensure maximization of plant operation
Achieve elevated purity of commodities to ensure a saleable product
Diligent management of site staff
Identifying and reporting plant maintenance/defects on site including static and fixed plant.
Overseeing on site contractors
Continuity of operations, minimise plant downtime, increased efficiency of plant and staff Primary Tasks and Duties:
Communicate daily tasks to supervisors, site staff and agency workers
Communicate effectively with peers and promote teamwork.
Visual monitoring of waste streams for compliance, suitability of material and appropriate blending.
Effective communication with management/directors relating to day to day operations site/staff issues, breakdowns, all non-compliance
Operate plant as required by the directors to a standard that delivers the effective running of the material recycling facility with minimal downtime.
Responsible for reporting the maintenance and cleanliness of all mobile site plant and static plant
Maintain and enhance main stakeholder relations including customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities and general public
Instigate and maintain effective housekeeping
Maintain effective administration and accurate reporting requirements, pursuant of internal and external procedures.
