Hales Group are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Operative to join our client. The company is family owned and is rapidly growing month by month!!

As a Quality Assurance Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our production processes and ensuring compliance with all relevant quality regulations.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Quality Inspections: Perform routine inspections of products during various stages of production to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
Testing and Sampling: Conduct tests and take samples of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Documentation: Accurately record and maintain quality assurance data, including inspection results, test findings, and any non-conformities.
Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document any deviations from quality standards, and work with the production team to implement corrective actions.
Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes to ensure that procedures are followed correctly and consistently, minimizing the risk of defects.
Calibration and Maintenance: Ensure that all quality assurance equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, and report any equipment malfunctions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, HACCP, BRC).
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key issues and suggesting improvements.
Training: Assist in training production staff on quality assurance standards and practices.
Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable, full training to be given.
Understanding of quality assurance principles, processes, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential quality issues.
Familiarity with quality assurance tools and equipment; basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to identify problems and suggest practical solutions.
Willingness to work in various shifts if required.
A certificate or diploma in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience working in food production is a plus.
Knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP, or other quality management systems.
Proactive and self-motivated.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
