Responsibilities of the workshop plant engineer may include:

As the workshop plant engineer, you will be carrying out preventive maintenance to the company's construction equipment, including dumpers, excavators and rollers around 35 tonnes.
Quickly and effectively diagnose faults in equipment to ensure minimal downtime for your client.
Representing the company in a professional and knowledge way.
Follow Safety and housekeeping standards in your area of work both in our workshop and at customer sites.
An extremely reactive position where you will support the business' needs in the day-to-day requirements of service and maintenance to their machinery.
The Company:

Our client is a well established business that has been running for over 20 years, providing customers with various construction services such as demolition, civil engineering, groundworks, retail development and more. The company has won various awards and strives to work closely with their customers and clients to provide a high level of service. Due to their ongoing success, they are seeking a workshop plant engineer to assist the team working on their range of in house plant equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience with this equipment or in roles such as Engineer, Mechanic Technician, Plant Fitter, Service Technician, Service Fitter, Workshop Plant Engineer. The equipment varies from Excavators, Dump Trucks, Diggers and Dozers including manufacturers like Volvo, JCB and Kubota. You must hold a full UK driving license as during busy periods, you may be required to attend site breakdowns.
