Hours: Mond-Fri 9am -5pm

Salary: PAYE £27.22/Umbrella £34.12

Temporary: Until 29/12/2024 with the possibility of extension

Are you an experienced Planning Lawyer looking for an exciting new challenge? Our client is seeking a talented Senior Planning Lawyer to join their team. With a focus on strategic legal advice and delivering innovative solutions in planning and related areas, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

Support the Principal Lawyer and Legal Services management team in providing strategic, high-level legal advice to the Councils, Members, and Officers, in line with corporate goals.
Assist the Team Leader in managing a diverse team of lawyers, legal officers, and support staff in a shared back-office support service.
Lead and deliver a portfolio of high-quality, solution-focused legal work in multiple disciplines, across various locations, serving customers from different organisations.
Collaborate with colleagues to support the strategic aims of the Legal Services department.
Foster positive relationships with customers, acting as a relationship manager alongside the Principal Lawyer and developing and promoting new and innovative solutions.
Contribute to business development efforts, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and improve income generation while identifying potential cost savings.Requirements:

A strong background in planning law, with experience in delivering high-quality legal advice and solutions.
Extensive knowledge of legal frameworks, regulations, and procedures related to planning and associated areas.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
Proactive and innovative mindset, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities and driving organisational growth.
