An established and forward-thinking Main Contractor in Peckham, London, is looking for a commercially minded Contracts Manager to join their small, close-knit team.

The Contracts Manager role

As a Contracts Manager, you'll oversee a range of exciting and varied projects, from residential and commercial builds to education, listed buildings, and refurbishments. With projects ranging from £50k to £4M, you'll manage the delivery of 6-7 contracts at a time, ensuring everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting concise work programmes to support the commercial team and drive project success.
Selecting and managing the best suppliers to ensure top-quality project delivery.
Mentoring and leading site teams to hit targets and exceed expectations.
Representing the company in project meetings and delivering clear reports to clients and stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards and the Considerate Constructor Scheme.
Driving quality throughout each project, from start to finish, while handling snagging and remedial work.The Contracts Manager

A background in trade or construction, with a strong commercial mind-set.
Experience as a current contracts manager.
Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality results.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to draft and monitor project programmes.
An effective communicator with the ability to lead and mentor teams.
Strong knowledge of IT packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and a full clean driving licence.
Degree in related field desirable not essential.In Return?

£70,000-£80,000
22 days holiday (rising with service) plus bank holidays.
