We are recruiting for an electrical engineer to work across the North East and North Yorkshire area completing projects from conception through to completion, conducting design calculations, writing design reports, creating schematics and liaising with customers throughout will be key areas of responsibility.
The role is a permanent position paying circa 40k basic plus package. Mon-Fri 40 hours per week. Office and field based.

Produce design data and sizing calculations for projects, including:
o GSHP and ASHP systems
o District and Communal Heating Systems
o Solar PV
o Other low carbon technologies
Design electrical systems taken from a concept level of design through to detailed design
- Low voltage electrical distribution from incoming supply through to final circuit to BS7671.
- Artificial Lighting and Emergency lighting
- Small power and fixed power
- Fire Alarm and detection.
- Structured cabling
- Cable Management Systems
- Metering and Energy Monitoring
- BMS and Controls (Under guidance of internal specialist)
- Lightning Protection System Risk Assessment and Requirements
Produce Schematics, Single Line Diagrams and Layout drawings using AutoCAD LT and Revit
Carry out technical surveys in domestic and/or commercial properties for energy or water efficiency related upgrades.
Produce Survey Reports, Technical Reports and Specifications documentation
Engage with DNOs for Applications for connections (Import and Export)
Participate in QA reviews

Qualifications, Certification and Licenses
• Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Working towards becoming Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) or CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers). Chartered Status will be encouraged and supported through development program.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience working in the Electrical engineering/Energy industry.
• Good IT skills, particularly MS Office (Excel and Word).
Demonstrable Experience
• Experience of engineering/energy analysis, design of electrical power distribution.
• Ability to interpret design information, such as PIDs/schematics and knowledge of system design
• Understanding of renewable and low carbon technology, such as GSHP, ASHP, along with Solar PV/Battery storage and CHP/grid parallel connections
• Building and plantroom surveying experience (development can be provided to the right candidate if not yet already gained)
• Experience working on commercial and domestic building services electrical systems design (development can be provided to the right candidate if not yet already gained)
• Experience with Autocad software
• Experience of Trimble (Amtech) Software for Electrical Cable Calculations
• Knowledge of Revit software
• BMS/Controls system design experience will be an added advantage. However, development can be provided to the right candidate.
