Estimator – Residential
Location: Mawdesley
Salary: Up to £60K
A growing practice with over 18 years of experience in bespoke, high end, luxury residential projects across Lancashire, Cumbria, and Cheshire is seeking an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor. Specializing in high-specification homes, the company handles architectural design, planning, interior design, and project management from concept to completion.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Conduct initial meetings with clients
* Produce accurate measurements, take-offs, estimates, and tenders for projects.
* Prepare and update procurement schedules, client cost reports, billing, and necessary documents for subcontractor tenders.
* Monitor project costs, variations, subcontractor appointments, and ensure compliance with building regulations and codes.
* Collaborate with architects and professionals, manage project paperwork, and conduct site visits.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in Estimating / Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor / Cost Management roles within the residential sector and construction industry
* Skilled in creating detailed cost reports, managing multiple tasks, and working within principal building contractors.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, Bluebeam, and experienced with JCT & FMB contracts.
* Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and time-management skills, with a focus on attention to detail and professionalism.
* Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level (or equivalent), with experience in pre-qualification and tendering for complex bespoke projects.
