Major Recruitment are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Sales Administrator to join their dynamic team on a temp-to-perm basis for our client based in Chesterfield. This role involves managing sales order processing, maintaining customer accounts, and providing excellent administrative support.
Working Hours + Salary
* Monday to Friday
* 08:30 - 17:00 or 08:00 - 16:00
* £24,000 per annum
* 40 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Process sales orders efficiently, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions.
* Manage and maintain multiple customer accounts, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
* Oversee POD (Proof of Delivery) orders and ensure timely processing.
* Handle general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and document management.
* Coordinate transport requests and liaise with logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery operations.
* Utilize CRM and bespoke systems to manage customer interactions and data.
* Conduct Teams calls and warm calls with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
* Collaborate with a young and energetic team of 8 to achieve departmental goals.
* Provide excellent customer service and support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Prepare and distribute reports and documentation as required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a sales administration or similar role.
* Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Confident in liaising with customers over the phone and via email.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ideally, candidates should drive or live locally due to unreliable bus services in the area.
