Manufacturing Engineer
The role requires a hands-on cross functional individual to support existing business needs by developing new and improved processes, tooling and manufacturing concepts and undertaking cost saving and obsolescence management projects.
The successful candidate will review existing product design & manufacturing processes & identifying improvement opportunities, including proposing, implementing and monitoring of optimisation solutions to deliver superior quality at reduced cost is a core component of this role.
Experience, knowledge and requirements;
* BEng or HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar field.
* 2+ years manufacturing experience (any industry considered).
* Experience in application of problem-solving & continuous improvement skills (Lean / 6σ)
* Experience in New Product Introduction/Development.
* Experienced in creation, deployment & training of procedures, SOPs & manufacturing documentation.
* Experience in product & process validation/verification.
* Demonstrated time management with ability to meet internal deadlines and customer due dates.
* Demonstrated analytical and data-based approach to decision making.
* Must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with ability to define and demands in an effective manner.
* Demonstrate advance skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Minitab (or other statistical analysis software).
* Experience in Mechanical/Electrical CAD modelling (Solidworks / Altium or similar).
* Be eligible to work full time in the UK without restriction.
