Beehive Recruitment are on the lookout for a Production Manager in the Thame area.

We are working with a leader in the indsutry who specialises in the design and supply of pharmacutical capital equipment for medical and pharmaceutical indsutries. They have an unparalleled reputation and international customer base.

Main Purpose:

Co-ordinating and managing factory manufacturing processes. Maintaining and creating effective process in line with ISO9001 certification. Gaining efficiencies where possible to reduce costs and effectively manage Production. Achieve on-time deliveries through efficient build & test schedule management and manage labour and materials costs against budget.

Key Tasks:

• Maintaining the BoM’s for manufacturing and procurement activities to take place accurately.

• Creating and maintaining BoM templates for ease of use by the design team

• Creating and issuing BoM’s for our standard product range

• Management of stock

• Dealing with emails on Production email inbox

• Checking sheets for taking stock out and returning it

• Creating and managing SOPs

• Assisting in the rationalising/standardising of our parts/products.

• Assist with the management of staff within the production department.

• Ensure apprentices are trained and meet objectives.

• Allocate jobs to the staff ensuring they are kitted and ready when required.

• Ensure parts are available when required, working with purchasing.

• Ensure the production schedule is completed on time, effectively updating and communicating status, schedule shifts and readiness to the Project Coordinator

• Assist with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing practices.

• Attending Engineering hand over meetings.

• Managing the production schedule.

• Issuing and completing Works Orders.

• Attend close-out meetings to ensure closed loop feedback to sales and engineering is achieved for continuous improvement

• Ensure any errors in design, documents, drawings are recorded and fed back to the departments for updating / record.

Key Results and Objectives:

• Ensure the smooth running of the production department.

• Ensure Production Targets are met.

• Managing staff in the production department via your direct reports.

• Ensure the production office tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Effective Line Management.

• On-time, on-budget

• Continuous Improvement
