We are now recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to work on behalf of our client, a leading offshore oil & gas and renewable energy design and engineering contractor based in London.

The successful candidate will join their existing team working on an offshore wind project, and therefore you must have relevant offshore energy industry experience, with a proven track record of delivering high quality Structural Engineering.

Job Specification:

• To perform and be responsible for structural analysis tasks by means of modelling in standard structural analysis software (Primarily in SACS as well as in STAAD and GT-STRUDL).

• To perform detailed design calculations in accordance with our client's current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).

• To review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design.

• To prepare high quality design reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures

• To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with company policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company specific procedures.

Qualifications/skills required:

* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject

* Chartered Status, or working towards this.

* Previous offshore energy experience (minimum of 8 yrs)

* Excellent communication skills

Full time contract role - ongoing

Location: SW London.

Working hours: 37.5 hrs per week across 5 days. 2 days per week remote working is possible.
