Our client is an entrepreneurial engineering-based business – a true market leader in their field. As part of their expansion programme, they are now looking for a committed studier to bolster their finance team.

Responsibilities will include:

Analyse and report on key financial data, ensuring managers receive timely, accurate, and relevant information.
Support the Chief Management Accountant in developing the management accounting function:
Ensure accurate cost reflection in the accounting system
Investigate variances and recommend corrective actions
Provide accurate cost information for decision-makers
Play a key role in the budget setting process, working with all departments on annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Support the continuous improvement of product standard cost setting and overhead rate calculations.
Manage and develop the company's fixed asset register and asset purchase systems.
Contribute significantly to month-end and year-end close processes, supporting both financial and management accounting teams.
Analyse GRNI balances and provide support and guidance in managing automated accounts payable system.
Collaborate with non-finance departments to ensure correct transaction processes and maintain financial information integrity.

You will be actively pursuing your CIMA/ACCA studies and have a progressive and enquiring attitude with strong Excel skills and good all-round IT skills. You will be looking to further your career in a really supportive environment where opportunities are genuinely respected
