Function: Data & Analytics/Finance

Reports to: Data Management and Governance Lead Expected
Salary: £30k-£50k DOE + Benefits
Job Summary:
The Data Quality Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organization. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support data-driven decision-making by identifying data quality issues, developing solutions, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of data management principles, have experience with data analysis tools, and demonstrate the ability to translate business needs into actionable data requirements.
Responsibilities:
Business Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
. Collaborates with business stakeholders to elicit and document data and analytics requirements.
. Understand the organization's business processes, objectives, and challenges to identify opportunities for data-driven solutions.
. Translates business needs into clear and actionable data and technical requirements.
Data Analysis and Exploration:
. Analyzes existing data sources to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and potential areas for improvement.
. Conducts data profiling and analysis to validate the suitability of data for meeting business requirements.
. Develops a deep understanding of the data landscape and its relevance to business goals.
Data Solution Design and Recommendation:
. Works with technical teams to design data solutions that align with business objectives, considering data modelling, integration, and reporting needs.
. Collaborates with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to design solutions that deliver actionable insights.
. Provides input into the selection of appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies for data projects. Documentation and Communication:
. Creates comprehensive documentation of business and data requirements, data flows, and process workflows.
. Communicates effectively with technical teams, translating business needs into technical specifications and vice versa.
. Presents findings, insights, and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
Project Management and Coordination:
. Participates in project planning, prioritization, and timeline management for data related initiatives.
. Facilitates communication between business and technical teams throughout the project life cycle.
. Monitors project progress, identifies risks, and proactively addresses issues that may impact project success.
Continuous Improvement:
. Stays informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data analytics and business intelligence.
. Provides input to refine and enhance existing processes, methodologies, and frameworks for data-driven decision-making.
Daily RUN Operation:
. Ensures that scheduled and maintenance tasks are performed on time and accurately.
. Responds to ad hoc requests from internal and external customers.
. Monitors data inputs and outputs for quality.
Key Experience,
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
. Proven experience in delivery, release management, or related roles.
. Familiarity with data development life cycles (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and version control systems (eg, Git, SVN).
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
. Proficiency in project management tools, issue tracking systems, and collaboration platforms.
. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
. Prior experience in coordinating data deployments, managing client relationships, or customer support is advantageous.
