We are looking for an experienced Aerospace or Defence sector Technical Author to join a leading Aerospace Company in the Greater London area. You would be crucial in creating technical publications, acceptance test procedures, and build plans for our world-leading, safety critical products.
What You’ll Do:
Write and research technical publications using engineering drawings, CAD models, and production standards.
Identify and resolve technical issues by liaising with relevant departments.
Define and specify illustration requirements to meet industry standards.
Facilitate, demonstrate, and validate using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Proofread documents to meet quality standards and task deadlines.What We’re Looking For:
Strong listening and communication skills.
Experience with desktop publishing software (e.g., FrameMaker).
Proficiency in SGML, XML, and DITA.
Aerospace engineering experience, preferably in a military context.
Commitment to high standards and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Simplified English.
Practical experience in mechanical engineering and technical authorship.Qualifications:
City & Guilds 5360 Part 1 & 2 (Engineering, Technical Communication and Authoring) or equivalent.Why Join Us?
