I'm currently partnered with a leading luxury car services business, operating in the supercar market, who is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant. With a strong presence in both the high-end retail sector and trade, the business also operates an online store selling car care products.
This role will be on average 4 days a week, with all working time spent on site in North West London.
This role is initially offered as a 3-month contract, with a competitive day rate ranging from £250 to £300 (outside IR35).
This role will have the potential to go permanent.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing and preparing management accounts for a portfolio of UK companies.
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring proper recording of financial transactions.
Ensuring ledger accounts and subsidiary accounts are accurate and up to date.
Analyzing costs, revenues, and financial commitments to project future expenses and income.
Managing month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
Preparing monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
Managing cash flow through weekly payment runs and financial forecasting.
Supporting the preparation of KPIs and financial dashboards for business insights.
Promoting best practices to standardize processes and drive operational efficiency.
Leading project work such as financial investigations and occasional client secondments.
Collaborating with heads of different entities to ensure smooth business operations.
Preparing budgets and regular forecasts.
Mentoring junior staff and handling ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience in financial/management accounting, preferably beyond audit environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner with stakeholders.
Excellent IT skills, with experience in accounting software such as Xero.
Ability to collaborate with non-finance peers.
Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
