International Travel, Mainly Europe – (Monday – Friday)

Talented Field Service Engineer sought to undertake a varied role providing first class troubleshooting and repair support to a range of high-value electro-mechanical equipment based within customer sites across the UK and Europe.

You will be joining a market-leading manufacturer with a truly global presence where you will utilise your technical and customer skills to provide support to key customers.

As such, this is a varied, Field Service Engineering role with responsibility for providing installation, maintenance and fault-finding support to customers across primarily Europe and occasionally the US to ensure the highest level of service for the company’s range of high-value, bespoke capital equipment.

Your remit as Field Service Engineer will be to effectively install, commission, troubleshoot and repair o electromechanical capital equipment delivering an effective end-user experience.

You will also use your expertise during new product installations and commissioning to train and support customers.

Key accountabilities as a Field Service Engineer will include:

Supporting key customers through installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and technical support.

Fault-finding and repairing electromechanical issues at customer sites

Working to solving complex problems both internally within manufacturing and development departments as well as with sub-contractors and customers

Escalation of technical issues to the management team and highlighting any design issue to the development team to improve product performance

Provide Support to Customers, assisting and responding to remote technical requests both via the phone and email

Support the quality team to identify root cause failures on products

Training on their equipment will be provided, so you will need to be on-site for the first 2 weeks.

To succeed in this interesting key role, you will need to be:

A customer focussed Service Engineer with a proven background in a Service Engineering / Field service Engineer capacity or similar

Fault-finding / diagnosing faults on electro-mechanical industrial / capital equipment (board level not component level)

Multi-skilled

The ability to travel to sites Internationally on a regular basis (Up to 90% of your time, Monday to Friday)
